On y retrouve l’ordre du monde patriarcal : en thérapie et en-dehors, les hommes, les femmes, les dominants et les subalternes, l’organisation de la binarité hiérarchisée, tout est bien à sa place, et tout va y rester. Son succès, dès lors, interroge : le psy demeurerait-il le dernier personnage à qui nous consentons collectivement à octroyer le monopole de la violence légitime ? Cet article propose de déplier les impensés de cette figuration de la thérapie, en rendant compte des représentations implicites qu’elle charrie, en termes de dominations de genre, race et classe. In early 2021, against a backdrop of resounding denunciations of sexist and sexual violence, Arte is broadcasting its series En Thérapie, which claims to depict France after the attacks of 2015. The series is an unexpected hit with the public and critics alike. However, the series plunges us into 2015 because it actually depicts France before #metoo. The patriarchal world order is there: in and outside therapy, men and women, the dominant and the subordinate, the organization of the hierarchical binarity, everything is in its place, and everything is going to stay there. Its success, then, begs the question: does the shrink remain the last person to whom we collectively agree to grant the monopoly of legitimate violence? En examinant différentes productions de cadrage normatif des expériences émotionnelles, nous expliciterons également la façon dont ces récits alimentent la narration homogène d’une gestion de soi dans un monde incertain. Through the investigation of the conditions of the subaltern’s audibility and the stakes of its reception, this article analyzes the ways in which narratives of resilience, in monopolizing the discursive field of out-of-norm suffering, prevents the emergence of radical forms of emancipation that find no political space for expression.
